Pair of French Louis XV Style Bronze and Brown Glass Twin Arm Sconces, ca 1900
About the Item
Pair of French Louis XV style bronze and brown glass twin arm sconces from ca. 1900.
These large, impressive Louis XV or Rococo-style sconces feature bronze arms and a backplate of characteristic Rococo design, of scroll shape with scrolling foliate and acanthus leaf decor. The arms are marked with the maker's mark LV. Each sconce has two flower-shaped brown amber-tone glass lampshades and sockets for E27 (E26) size light bulbs.
Dimensions: height: 36 cm / 14.17 in; width: 40 cm / 15.75 in; depth: 27 cm / 10.63 in.
The sconces are in good condition with slight signs of aging and wear.
These wall lamps are in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is installed by a qualified electrician.
