A rare pair of large brass wall lamps designed by the renowned Danish designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen in the 1960s. Produced by his company Holm Sørensen & Co., these style no. 5193 are a true masterpiece of Danish design. Featuring a multi-layered design of three flame-cut brass leaves mounted on brass lacquered wall mountings, these lamps are in excellent vintage condition, each with their original stickers intact. With only a few minor scratches and marks on the wall mountings, these are stunning pieces that will add a touch of classic elegance to any space. These lamps come ready to use with golden cords with switches, and each take two standard E14 light bulbs, max 40W. ****************** Svend Aage Holm Sørensen (1913-2004) was a Danish industrial designer and architect educated from he Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, who made significant contributions to the development of modernist design in Denmark. Holm Sørensen's designs were characterized by their simplicity, elegance, and functionality, and he was particularly known for his work in lighting design. He was a true master of modernist design, and his work was characterized by his experimental approach to materials and form.
