Pair Regency Style Lion Silver Plate Sconces Stamped Gebelein, Boston
About the Item
This Regal Pair of Regency Style Silver Plate Lion Mask Two Arm Sconces where made in the early Twentieth Century in Boston by Gebelein Silversmiths. The Regency Style sconces have a oval silver plated backplate trimmed with a roped edged border and centered with a Regal Lion Mask. The Silver Plate Sconces have two branches that are attached to the backplate at the top of the Lion Mask in the Lions Mane. The silver plate branches are a classic s-scroll and finished with a silver plate English Regency Style vase forming the candle cup above a classical bobeche. The Regency Style Silver Plate Lion Mask Sconces where originally wired, so the wiring is hidden in the arms. The sconces have been rewired using UL Listed parts.
