About the Item

Peacock (in Danish PÅFUGL) wall lamp is designed by Bent Karlby in 1974 and produced by Lyfa - very rare lighting sculpture in excellent vintage condition including Lyfa-label. Absolute gorgeous design! Top-of-the-line from Bent Karlby and internationally sought after piece! This circular wall lamp is comprised of seven layered lacquered metal circles, fitted on a shallow white lacquered metal wall mounting. The layered metal circles are colored in seven different colors, spanning from bright red to dark purple, decreasing in size towards the top dark purple circle. The white wall mounting acts as the last white circle, thus making it part of the design rather than be hidden behind the shades. Originally advertised as a light relief, and it truly embodies this when lit, as the emitted light breaks through the space between the seven layers of circles, making them radiate soft warm light around it - an exceptional vintage collectible addition to any space! Condition: This Peacock is in rare excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age. Lfya label intact inside and on the back of the wall mounting. Also included a Lyfa paper label on the cord with name, number and logo (shown on photo 7+8). Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4' 11.1") white plastic cord - for safety and beauty - and fitted with on/off switch placed at convenient height at the cord and Euro style plug - which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag. Light source: One bulb, Edison screw-fitting (E14/E12 with adapter) - Max 40 watt.
