About the Item

Real and very rare pair of Art Deco alabaster sconces. Over the years we have seen and sold our fair share of top quality made, antique alabaster pendant lights and chandeliers. And when we found these Art Deco wall sconces, we again realized how extremely difficult it is to find alabaster wall sconces from the early 1900s. We may have only found one pair before and so to have found this small size yet extremely elegant Art Deco pair it more than made our day. Also, because we are certain that there is at least one someone out there who is waiting for exactly a pair like this. What makes this striking pair extra special are the floral carvings at the top of these shades and the original, hand forged and blackened, wrought iron frames in which the shades rest. To make the combination complete, the forged in fire frames also come with finely detailed floral decorations at the bottom of the shade holders. By the way, one of the hand-carved Art Deco shades is signed, but we don't know who the artist was. So if you are looking for a stylish and timeless way to bring light into your entry hall, kitchen or bedroom or if you are looking for the perfect wall lights over your side table or credenza then this identical pair could be flying your way soon.
