Set of 2 large Sigma wall sconces designed by Sergio Mazza for Artemide in the 1960s, pressed crystal diffusers , structure in nickel-plated brass, each lamp superimposed 2 light points that emit a warm and soft light. mounts E 27 bulbs. Excellent conditions, electric plant revised, perfectly working. Can be wall or ceiling mounted. Bibliography: Domus num. 366 May 1960 p. 46; Artemide catalogue 1969, p. 41 Sergio Mazza is an Italian designer born in 1931 in Milan.In 1955 he began his professional career and from 1961 he worked alongside G. Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in the field of furniture and industrial design. Among the various awards received, we remember the report at the Compasso d'Oro 1960 for the Delta lamp by Artemide and the silver medal for the Italian Apartment at the X Triennale in Milan. From 1967 he began to design also for Olivari, signing the handles Macco, until the model Giuliana, with Gramigna, of 1987. In the field of publishing, always with Gramigna, he directed the magazine "Ottagono" from its foundation until 1988. For all the iconic pieces of Italian design follow our gallery SECOND YOUTH.
