Coco Flip is a Melbourne based furniture and lighting design studio, run by us, Kate Stokes and Haslett Grounds. We work closely with local craftspeople and manufacturers to create playful products with depth of character.
Coco Flip produces character-rich furniture and lighting, in Naarm (Melbourne), for design conscious homes worldwide.
Founded in 2010 by Kate Stokes and Haslett Grounds, the studio is inspired by ideas, relationships and materiality. Their designs imbue commercial and residential spaces with personality and warmth. Each distinctive piece is manufactured locally by a collective of skilled craftspeople.
Coco Flip is proud to be part of a community that values quality Australian design.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Created in collaboration with Theodora Alfredsdottir, “Corrugation” is a collection of lights inspired by midcentury furniture making, honouring the technique of veneer forming. It consists of a scalable hanging light and wall sconces, which can serve as building blocks to create unique combinations playfully spanning across whole rooms. The collection takes veneer forming as a starting point, a process that requires skilled craftsmanship, which was introduced to the furniture world by design names like Alvar Aalto and the Eames couple, and pairs it with off-the-shelf aluminium tubes.
