Square Sconce in Satin Nickel
About the Item
Part of the Cycladic Series, exploring the power of architecture brought to small scale. The square sconce illuminates the purity, symbolism and intimate power of the square: one of the most emblematic, elemental geometric forms expressed in both nature and our manmade world. A subtle half split of its body, only perceivable when lit or at close range, frees dozens of new subtle expressions of faceted light off and onto its form, as well as surrounding surfaces. Its light source streams from both front and back of the piece, resulting in a functional symphony of light and shadow at small scale.

Richard Meier Light represents a collaboration of three partners, Pritzker award-winning architect Richard Meier, product designer Ana Meier, and acclaimed lighting master Herve Descottes. The 10 piece lighting collection, launched in 2017, elevates the art of lighting with simplicity and intelligence. Timeless in appearance yet forward-looking in its approach, Richard Meier Light designs use premium, tactile materials and industrial craftsmanship typically experienced at industrial scale for intimately expressive pieces, felt in our domestic spaces.
