True Pair Of French 20th c. Louis XVI St. Crystal & Rock Crystal Sconces
About the Item
A stunning large scale true pair of French turn of the century Louis XVI st. Crystal, Rock crystal and Gilt metal sconces, attributed to Maison Bagues. Each three arm sconce is centered by an spectacular extremely decorative rock crystal urn with exquisite cut foliate and reeded designs set on a gilt metal background. The three elegantly scrolled arms are adorned with lovely branch like designs with fine Crystal leaves leading to lovely and deep clear Crystal saucers below the Gilt metal acanthus leaf candle cup. The arms are wonderful decorated by an array of cut faceted Rock Crystal tear drop shaped pendants. Above are exceptional and most decorative luxuriant scrolled branches seemingly growing upwards also decorated with outstanding Crystal leaves set on Gilt metal backgrounds and lovely Crystal flowers, and beaded Crystal branches.
