1950s Oscar Torlasco Table Lamp Model 553/P for Lumi
About the Item
1950s Oscar Torlasco table lamp model 553 for Lumi. Executed in painted metal and patinated brass. Rewired for US electrical with black cloth double twist cord and period styled black wall plug. Accommodates a single US medium base 60w maximum incandescent bulb. Switch on base.
Lumi was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.
Updated electrical for US. Accommodates a single 60w max incandescent candelabra bulb (higher with LED). Switch on base. Minor scuffs, scratches, bends and losses noted only for accuracy. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
