1960s Carl-Harry Stålhane Stoneware Table Lamp
About the Item
Table Lamp designed by Carl-Harry Stalhane for Rorstränd, signed on the bottom. Sweden 1960s
This Table lamp follows the forms that define the designer’s best ceramic pieces, with smooth organic shapes and a refined textured surface with stripes decorative motifs. The lamp also features a teak wood detail at the top. Its slender proportions are enhanced by the renewed lampshade in cotton.
Carl-Harry Stålhane was one of Sweden's best renowned ceramists, that led him to become the artistic director of Rörstrand, were he created his most acclaimed pieces. He developed new glaces and mastered the techniques that where popular through the 20th century up to nowadays, such as the eggshell glaze.
The overall condition of the lamp is excellent, the electric system functions perfectly and has been renovated.
