About the Item
Very rare ball lamp from the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory.
Meissen porcelain since it was founded in 1710 the Meissen Porcelain has stood for the highest quality porcelain and extraordinary craftsmanship. This spherical vase is painted with the ming dragon on both sides, the crossed swords can be seen on the underside. The execution of this vase was supposed to go back to the time of Erich Oehme, who became artistic director of the porcelain manufactory Meissen from 1936.Oehme was best known for his expressive animal figures, which is why it can be assumed that the three feet of the lamp are each in the form of two little dragon based on his design. The lampshade was newly made, it can be adjusted in height. the measure in height was measured with the lampshade.
