'Acanthes' Table Lamp after René Lalique by Consolidated Glass Company 1930s

About the Item

Acanthes' Table Lamp after René Lalique by Consolidated Glass Company 1930s Straight from the first owner in Ghent Belgium, comes this wonderful and rare table lamp in radiant blue art glass - made to a design after René Lalique. It comes from a large and classic city mansion and stood in the bedroom for many years - until the moment we stumbled upon it. This lamp is something special. At first, this is obviously a René Lalique ‘Acanthes’ design from the 1920s. But it is not, although the design of the glass is almost 100 percent the same. This lamp is made by the American company Consolidated Glass and inspired by the works of Lalique. When his famous art deco glass works toured the world with the .. the American public first saw his genius and Consolidated Glass began to produce a collecton of vases and lamp bases based on the designs by Lalique. This blue lamp base design is clearly a ‘Acanthes’ vase by Lalique, with a beautiful floral decor in the radiant blue glass. Wonderful when viewed up close and Not signed - most importantly not falsely signed Lalique as was the case with many copies in the past. Attributed to Consolidated Glass Company by the Lalique Museum. Comes in a wonderful restored condition. At DEZAAK DELUXE we try to find items that are out of the ordinary. With experience over 40 years, we are known for our singular eye and combining the new and the old. We have a few thousand items in stock in our beautiful showroom in a reclaimed factory building out of the 1930s.
