Antique American Oil Lamp With Hand Painted Font and Brass Filigree Base
About the Item
An American Victorian oil lamp having an outstanding hand painted floral font, cast brass filigree base, hand blown chimney and it's original burner and parts. It is high style Victorian elegance of the late 19th century meant to be displayed in your Victorian parlor with pride.
It was part of a circa 1860 Victorian household in old New Orleans lower garden district. Very atmospheric and romantic to say the least and would be a lovely addition to any period, traditional well appointed home.
These are becoming increasingly rare to find in this state of preservation.

- Condition:Replacements made: The chimney is a high quality blown glass reproduction. Wear consistent with age and use. All of the original parts are present however I have not attempted to operate it. It is in good antique condition with no major losses.
