Late 19th c. , black and gold painted English tea canister with Chinoiserie decoration, mounted as 3-light table lamp with tall brass finial.
This lamp has great character and the painting is quite charming. The lovely hanging lanterns suggest a night scene. The combination of black and gold paint create a lovely luminous quality to the lamp.
