About the Item
An Exceptionally Fine Pair French Ormolu and patinated Bronze early Victorian Single Light Candlesticks of quite tall and large proportions, now converted to a Stunning Pair of Electric Table Lamps, offered in exceptional condition, each with unusual reeded central Siena Marble columns above a very ornate leaf cast socle, ending on acanthus leaf draped tri-pod dolphin feet with stunning concave sided bases, complete with original upper similar bronze cast mounts. Third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Condition: Superb condition, these Lamps have been professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated, professionally re-wired for electricity.
Height: (entire as image one an impressive) 20" (50.5cm). Width: (at base). 6" (15.25cm). Depth: (at base) 5.5" (14cm).

Sienna Marble is quarried in Northern Italy in areas around the town of the same name. It is one of the most beautiful of all the marbles having a color range from Violet (the Italians call it the Violet Marble because of its striking veins), through Indian Red, Sienna, Prussian Blue, and White.
