Art Deco Uplight Brass Metal Table Lamp, French, 1930s

About the Item

A lovely example of Art Deco that shows great style and imagination is this French table lamp trumpet shape. Cream coloured on the inside and takes a normal bulb, you can use energy efficient ones. There are five large decorative glass balls to the base giving the lamp that extra flair. Wonderfully ambient light radiates when it's lit. Condition is very good with minimal signs of it's age. Stunning French Art Deco metal "dinanderie" tall uplight table lamp. The metalware, very likely brass, is shaped like a tall urn. Typical modernist Art Deco design. The lamp has been fully rewired to fit US standards. No visible maker's mark. The term "dinanderie" comes from the Flemish town Dinant where objects, usually in bronze than in brass or copper, were made from the Middle Ages onwards.

  • Rare Brass, Metal & Wood Art Deco Mushroom Hat Table or Desk Lamp Sign M. Sabino
    By Marius-Ernest Sabino
    Located in Lisse, NL
100% Unrestored and original condition, mushroom design table lamp. This very unusual and modernistic work of lighting art comes with the maker's mark M. Sabino in the base and it is another one of our latest great 'finds'. Both the metal shade and the wooden base have been 'marble painted' and the wear has made this rare light extra special too look at. Over the many decades this timeless, layered mushroom design table lamp has also developed an incredibly rich patina. This hand-crafted and documented table...
