A Beautiful Antik Danish Library Table Lamp

About the Item

A beautiful antique Danish library table lamp in brass and with opaline shades. The brass has a lovely patina to it something that only time can create. Two opaline glass shades mounted onto brass galleries and held by three brass thumb screws. Each gallery maintains its original brass and porcelain bulb holders with a Bakelite on/off switch in working order. The lamp has been rewired with black twisted cloth flex and grounded. Can be used with led or incandescent light bulbs. Can also be fitted with an EU UK or US electrical plug. A stunning period lamp and also in stunning period quality.

Additions or alterations made to the original: Originally this lamp was not grounded. Rewired: This Library lamp has been rewired with a black twisted cloth flex and grounded. Wear consistent with age and use. This lamp is around a 100 years old but is In great condition with age related wear and patina. There is one small chip to one of the shades which is hardly noticeable but not surprising for a lamp this age.
