About the Item
Vera wood and brass table lamp. Hand forged and polished brass shade. Braided 6’ cord. Takes two S14 lightbulbs.
This design, affectionately referred to as the "Mom and Pop" lamp, was originally conceived as a gift for our parents. Crafted with a heavy, round wooden base, an elegant brass neck, and a hand-forged brass dome shade in a mirror finish, we play with proportions and materials, nodding to early European Modernist design themes. The braided cord with a vintage style rocker switch gives this lamp an elevated and retro finish, every detail considered. Our influences include the Bauhaus, Charlotte Perriand, Karl Trabert, Hans Arp, Alvar Aalto, Louis Poulsen, and Vico Magistretti.
We make every piece to order in our Austin, Texas studio. Small variations to be expected as each piece is made by hand from natural materials. Species of wood may vary based on availability. We also take custom orders if you would like a base made of a certain species of wood, please send us a message!
