Hello, my name is Daniel and I am a ceramic artists based out of Fullerton, Ca. All my lamps are handmade on the potters wheel by me in my home studio. This is the first small lamp for the "Burst" design
"Burst" started off by throwing two separate pieces. The next day the pieces are trimmed and specific holes are drilled and cut out for the integrated switch, wire, and lighting socket. Over the next couple weeks they lay on shelves and slowly dry. I go out there daily to adjust the plastic wrapping to skew the speed of the drying process. After a couple of weeks they are loaded into the kiln and fired to 2160 degrees fahrenheit. The lamps are then removed and custom fitted with the lighting elements
Each piece is handmade but this posting is for the lamp you see: "Burst #1"
All lights are wired with UL certified sockets and switches.

Bruce Ceramics
Daniel grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the town of Woodinville Washington. It was there he learned to work with his hands at his fathers business. He discovered ceramics in college and the rest is history. He currently works out of his Southern California home studio where he makes each lamp on the potters wheel. This current collection focuses on lamps made from earthenware. The design is heavily influenced by the modern and mid-century movements of the early 20th century.
