About the Item
A rather large table lamp, handmade in white and grey ceramic decoration by Huguette Bessone, signed under the base H. Bessone, Vallauris. Depicting a sunflower. Unique piece. circa 1970. In very good condition, rewired with new electrical components and includes a new shade.
Beautiful table lamp with incised floral motifs.
Huguette Bessone along with her husband Marius opened their ceramics workshop in Vallauris in 1954. She will test different processes such as crystallization, reliefs on brown tones and volcanic effects with a lightly coloured grid.
She will participate in almost all the Vallauris biennials as well as in prestigious exhibitions across France and Europe.
The lamp uses a UK plug (up to 250V).
