Circa 1920s Antique Brass Lamp With Reticulated Brass Lampshade
About the Item
For your consideration is a fantastic brass table lamp with reticulated brass shade. I don’t know about you but, I love pierced metal, ceramic, porcelain- anything pierced that has light shining through it. It may be the shadows it casts on the wall, I’m not sure, but I know I love it.
This lamp retains, what I believe to be its original silk lining so that you don’t get blinded by the light through the pierced brass shade. Has two light bulbs, and either one or both can be illuminated. Wiring is old, but good still. You may wish to have it rewired.
The brass has oxidized some on the base of the lamp, which can be seen in the photos if you zoom in. You should see speckles of red tinged metal. The brass also has a deep patina.
The silk lining is removable. There are metal clips which holds the lining in place.
Such a fun lamp and stylish lamp.
