About the Item
A sophisticated Swedish Classic. The "Stekpannan" table lamp in cream white lacquered metal was designed in the late 1960s by Anders Pehrson, the head of design at Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden. Pehrson's progressive modernist designs were based in his passion for what in Swedish are four Fs: Form, Function, Colour (Färg) and Family, and this item is no exception. This lamp is often called Simris or Olympia, but was in fact named after its similarity to a common household item: Stekpannan, Swedish for frying pan. The position of the round lacquered head is adjustable on the slender stem with a switch on the back of the head for easy usage. Two E14 bulbs - 25W and 40W. Local rewiring recommended. Great vintage condition with age related patina. Labelled on the inside of the shade.
