About the Item
Daum is a French art glass maker. Founded by the brothers Auguste (1853–1909) and Antonin Daum (1864–1931), the company, based in the city of Nancy, established its reputation in the Art Nouveau period.
Designer: Jean-Pierre Demarchi, born in Oran (Algeria) in 1928 and died in 1979, was a French sculptor and medalist. He was inspired by nature and recomposes it to the limit of the abstract. He is also recognized for the medals he produced with the Monnaie de Paris. In addition to his work as an independent artist, he was the artistic director of the Daum crystal factory.
