Early 20th Century Art Nouveau Newel Post Lamp by Fabrication Francaise Paris

About the Item

Early 20th century Art Nouveau newel post lamp also known as pillar lights. This light has a beautiful women with her arm raised and four lights. Newel post lights were used to light homes at the bottom of the stairway or along the stair rail to supplement light. This is a very special light given as a trophy to Chas G. Spencer for the highest professional average 1908 Won with Dead Shot Smokeless Powder in the early 20th century. The light is made of a white metal and had a bronze finish which has wore over the years. It does have a makers mark Fabrication Francaise Paris France a foundry in Paris in the late 19th century early 20th century. The light is in good condition but would need to be rewired and has a wore finish.
