Early 20th Century French Brass & Painted Tole Four-Light Bouillotte Table Lamp
About the Item
Decorate a lady's desk with this elegant and colorful antique "Lampe Bouillotte". Created in France, circa 1920 and oval in shape, the table lamp sits on an oval brass base decorated with pierced leaf motifs around the rim and ending with small round feet. The lamp features four wired lights under the adjustable hand painted tole shade; the pediment is further embellished with a laurel leaf shaped finial. The Directoire style fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bronze dore finish with a patinated pale green painted shade decorated with gilt music instruments motifs.
