French Art Deco table lamp by Edgar BRANDT, France, 1920s. Wrought-iron base. Alabaster shade. Old alabaster cannot be compared to new ones. Old alabaster has veins. Sometimes they can be mistaken for cracks. But they are not cracks, they are veins. Height: 15.2"(38.5cm), Width: 6.3"(16cm). Signed "E.Brandt" on the base (see photo). Illustrated in "Edgar Brandt, Master of Art Deco Ironwork" by Joan Kahr, Abrams, New York, 1991, page #69 and in the catalog of showrooms of the Edgar Brandt ironworks under number 156.
