About the Item
New collection: This contemporary Margit Wittig table lamp sits on a round base . The material Wittig chose for this unique 21st century table lamp is bio-resin, with 30% recycled content, which gives this functional object of art a visual focus for luxury interiors.
Margit Wittig is inspired by modern artists and sculptors such as Giacometti and Ivon Hitchens. Her work is constantly evolving using different textures as the driving force - intertwined with her work with color. Her functional art spreads the gamut from modern simplicity to rich and complex designs and color. Her objects include paintings, occasional furniture, home accessories and sculptures. Wittig's pieces - all made in her London studio - are placed with collectors around the globe.
Please note: Although our lights are wired using UL listed components for the US, each light fitting is not UL listed.
The dimensions of the lamp base without the shade is 62cm tall, 18cm diameter.

Margit Wittig
London based artist, Margit Wittig creates bespoke lighting and occasional furniture. All pieces are hand-made and through her work Margit allows her clients to evoke a narrative to express their own taste and style in their interiors. Although the work is contemporary, it is often blended into classically styled interiors. Margit’s work can best be described as versatile, functional art although she is an artist, sculptor and painter by training. Kit Kemp of Firmdale Hotels – think New York’s Whitby Hotel and London’s Ham Yard - describes Margit’s work as ‘curious, intriguing, classical yet lyrical’. All of her lighting, furniture and accessories are made to order and come in resin, some with touches of hand-blown glass.
