About the Item
Artifice for the “indirect transport of light”. Three disks interact on a vertical axis: the manual positioning of the middle one generates endless combinations of reflected light structures. The direct light thrown by a thin surface is reflected and controlled according to a precise geometric sequence of the composition.
In 2000 Filippo Pagliani and Michele Rossi founded in Milan Park Associati. Listening, Experimentation, Complexity and Narration mark the architecture and design culture of the studio and the constantly changing yet highly distinctive stylistic approach reflects the open, transversal and scientific attitude of the two partners and their collaborators. The continuous search for new ways to combine materials and their forms with various technologies and functionalities gives Park Associati the opportunity to offer original solutions to the ever-changing requirements of clients and to dialogue with different environments while covering a broad range of activities, from product design to urban planning. Urban regeneration and the restyling of modern buildings have been the studio’s focus in recent years, from refurbishments in the Milan area of “La Serenissima” or “Gioiaotto” to recent projects in Piazza Cordusio and in Via Chiese.

In an age of blaring noise, blatant commercialism, and pretentiousness, Firmamento Milano stands for the exact opposite. Restrained and discreet, their products range has a strong point of view and a powerful personality. With 50 years of experience in the business world, including over 35 years in design production and distribution, Carlo Guglielmi decided to create Firmamento Milano. Carlo Guglielmi’s goal is to create a catalogue with a collection of products strongly independent of what the market may be demanding. A collection inspired by a deeply-rooted culture of design. Located in Milan, Italy, Gugliemi says that “Milan has always been the capital of a powerful industrial and commercial network, and today it is recognized worldwide as a vital hub of culture, art, creativity, and innovation.” For this reason, the city’s name has contributed to the title of Gugliemi’s company, in order to reflect the city and its values. With that in mind, Carlo Gugliemi wanted to include the name ‘Firmamento,’ due to its meaning "the firmament above us, the sky sparkling with ideas, dreams, values, architects, and beauty.” Today, these values are an essential part of Firmamento Milano, which they want everyone who collaborates with them to share.
