French 19th Century Louis XV St. Ormolu Candelabras Mounted into Lamps
About the Item
A superb and very high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu candelabras mounted into lamps. Each lamp is raised by an impressive and most decorative tripod base with beautiful scrolled feet and stunning lattice designs with a central seashell mounts. The bases also display luxuriant scrolled foliate designs with swaging floral garlands all below most uniquely designed central supports in a sensational satin and burnished finish. Above are exceptional Rocaille designs with charming richly chased flowers from where finely detailed cherubs draped in swaging garments emerge seemingly holding up the arms above. Each arm displays intricate foliate designs and beautiful floral candle cups. All original gilt throughout.
