About the Item
Gae Aulenti, Table Lamp in plexiglass and chromed metal, Italy, circa 1970
The painted metal base holds a chrome plated sphere into which are inserted four sheets of yellow plexiglass with crenellated tops. When lit, the light rises from the sphere illuminating the yellow fronds to give the appearance of a sunrise or sunset.
51cm high, 39.5cm wide, 27.5cm deep
No maker's label but this design has been previously attributed to Aulenti.
In good used condition.
For shipping, the plexiglass sheets will be removed from the base and carefully wrapped. It is easy to slot them back in again for use.
