About the Item
A beautiful example of Gunnar Nylunds artistry, a ceramic table lamp with brown hare fur glaze.
Marked with Rörstrand and G. Nylund in bottom. In good condition, new wiring follow Swedish standard.
About the artist:
Gunnar Nylund was born in Paris 1904, and spent many years in Denmark working for Bing & Grøndahl, his own workshop Saxbo stentøj and Nymølle keramikfabrik. Most of his working years he spent at Rörstrand porslinsfabrik/porcelain factory, outside Stockholm, Sweden between 1931 and 1959. He is well known for his chamotte, hair fur glaze and animal figures.
