Mid-Century "Krekel" Table Lamp by Otto Wasch for Raak Amsterdam, c.1960
About the Item
A fabulous mid-century Modernist "Krekel" or Cricket table lamp (model R-60) designed by Otto Wasch for Raak Amsterdam in circa 1960.
A beautifully playful and minimalist aluminium table lamp which quite simply consists of a core tube - housing the bulb at one end and the cable and push-button switch at the other - with two adjustable pins crossing through it, like hair pins. By adjusting these pins the lamp's angle and height are controlled and changed.
The lamp is in good working order and in excellent vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with 60 years of age & careful use. The lamp will be shipped with the mirror bulb and still retains its original RAAK label.
