About the Item
Stylish and rare midcentury modern desk lamp in the manner of Louis Kalff.
Both figuratively and literally, this 1950s or 60s fixture is perfect for bringing light to your Mid-Century Modern interior. This rare light has a Dutch design look and feel to it, but unfortunately we don't know for certain who created it. This antique-of-the-future-table-lamp has a beautifully shaped and sizeable, black metal shade with a matching, circular black metal base. The stylish, chromed stem, 'ribbon' around the shade and the finial on top perfectly complete this midcentury table lamp and they too are in good condition still. This double light and timeless design classic, we feel, will look best on your midcentury desk or credenza. The stylish shade spreads the light 'quietly' and evenly downward which creates a marvellous atmosphere. One that is almost cinematic. This rare and cool looking midcentury lamp will be rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the country where it will go to. For the coolest look and feel we would advice to go with black instead of white wiring and when purchased by an American client we will also attach an American power so that this lamp can be used and enjoyed upon arrival.
