This striking table lamp is truly a gem of Mid-Century Modernist design paired with stunningly sharp and precise execution and lovely materials, created by the Artist Willy Daro in Belgium Circa 1970. Featuring a stylized angular swoop in polished brass from which a four arm rectilinear support emerges to hold a gleaming and jagged Pyrite mineral cluster. Evoking the movement of a ship's body or the spinal twist of an ancient creature, this piece blends protective maternal aggression with sharp attention to detail and rigorous material execution and refinement.
