About the Item
A beautiful blue ceramic stoneware table lamp designed and handmade by Marianne Westmann, Swedish designer and ceramicist.
The lamp was made for the famous Rorstrand ceramic factory in Sweden.
With 1x light.
Signed at the bottom.
Lampshade is new and included.
The height is measured incl. lampshade!

Marianne Westman (1928-2017) was born in Sweden. She was a Swedish designer and ceramicist and she is considered to be one of Sweden’s foremost designers of porcelain tableware.
Marianne started in 1946 her ceramics studies at the prestigious University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. After graduation in 1950 she was working in the famous Rorstrand ceramic factory in Lidköping. This was the company’s golden age and its procelain manufacture was extremely successful abroad.
In the 1960s Marianne expanded her range into artistic pieces made of stoneware, chamotte and iron.
Glazes were thick and complex, with iron flowers and coarse structures. Shapes were simple, feeling rustic yet elegant.
