Midcentury Don Quixote Ceramic Table Lamps

These wonderful lamps depict scenes from "The Man of La Mancha", the tale of the legendary Don Quixote. The scenes are executed in hand-painted and glazed ceramic. They depict: Don Quixote on his horse in front of the windmills, Don Quixote being "knighted" by the innkeeper, Sancho atop his horse, and Don and Sancho under a fruit tree. The ceramic bodies are mounted on original painted wooden bases, and display a lovely aged patina. Both lamps work very well with two standard sockets with pull chains. New shades were custom made and added.
