Nessen Studios Stone Table Lamp
About the Item
A stone table lamp by the American lighting company Nessen Studios. This dual-bulb design is made of a block of white and gray marbled stone with brass tone and white hardware. Accents include the beaded chains and cream-colored cord. The lamp is marked "Nessen" near the sockets and with a sticker to the underside.
Nessen Studios was started in 1927 by the German-immigrant Walter von Nessen (1889-1943). The company first had a breakthrough design with swing-arm floor, table, and wall lamps. His designs can be found in prestigious institutions including the Museum of Modern Art.
