Laurel Lamp Company (American, founded 1950s), circa 1950's. The Laurel Lamp Company of Newark, NJ was an American lighting manufacturer that was founded in the 1950s by Charles Kurz and Edward Engelhard. The company specialized in the production of high-quality, modernist lighting fixtures that were designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Each lamp is constructed in mahogany wood and carved to depict a female body form. Then mounted to brass framed bases. Large scale lamps that will fit any environment.
Lamps measure 39.25" to finial and 33" to top socket
This exact model was shown in Don Draper's office in the television show Mad Men.
