This rare pair of mid century lamps are simply sensational! Italian pottery lamps are always striking and handsome! It is pure joy just to sit and stare at these beautiful blue-green lamps with their primitive motif glyphs!
They look spectacular lit or unlit and the rich pattern and unique blue green pottery in blue and black creates a unique "primitive" motif that echoes all sorts of historical cues - from hieroglyphs to mesoAmerican symbols! A decorator's delight!
The lines are modern and delicious!
A single 3-way socket produces ample lighting and each lamp is topped with a white fabric shade that offsets the colors fabulously!
Very fine condition with light age appropriate wear to the pottery body and shades.
A wonderful pair of lamps for your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch or mid century Eichler home!
