These lamps are very dramatic and quite camp, quasi Versace! Pair of vintage 1950s neoclassical style table lamps with ebonized double columns with gilt metal Corinthian capitals and bases mounted on a classical rectangular plinth, embellished with gilt trim. Original vintage gold painted box shades with applied stylized figures in media res a bacchanalia in various states of undress and making music. The shades of course have some wear particularly to the gold edge trim tape, but they are so theatrical and definitely have lots of life left in them. Original brass double socket Lampworks with bronze patination. And of course, they are both crowned with bronze laurel leaf finials. Dimensions shown include shades and finials. Plinth base measures 10-1/2 inches wide by 6-1/4 inches deep. Height to top of lamping without finial is 38 inches.
