Pair of Canadian Art Deco Chrome & Frosted Glass Boudoir Lamps by Florentine

About the Item

This pair of Canadian Art Deco chrome and frosted glass boudoir lamps was manufactured by the Florentine Lamp Company of Toronto, Ontario Canada which ceased production in 1940 after the principal was interned by the Canadian government as an enemy alien. The lamps each feature a circular chrome cushioned base that supports a stepped shade holder for a frosted glass shade in a "caterpillar design" and this is capped with a stepped chrome piece that is topped with a ziggurat finial. These shades are unusual for these lamps and are in excellent all original condition as is the chrome. They have their original red and black push-through Bakelite socket switches and both lamps display beautifully.
