Pair of French 19th Century Belle Époque Period Bronze Lamps Picard Attributed
About the Item
A spectacular pair of French 19th century Belle Époque period, five arm ormolu and patinated bronze, candelabras attributed to Henry Picard. Each lamp is raised by a circular ormolu base with impressive dolphins, a central cabochons amidst foliate movements and fluted designs. Above are the striking patinated bronze statues, one of Cupid with his bow and arrow and the other of Psyche with her arms raised. The five scrolled arms are adorned with lilies and richly chased branches with foliate candle cups. All original gilt and patina. Beautiful satin and burnished finish throughout.
