Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu and Tole Bouillotte Lamps
About the Item
A most elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and tole bouillotte lamps. Each three armed lamp is raised by a beautiful circular pierced base with lovely interlocking scrolled foliate designs and textured and beaded wrap around bands at the border. The central circular fluted support displays a mottled base and fine foliate chandelles. Each elegantly scrolled arm displays a charming inverted acorn final and is adorned with a large acanthus leaf leading to recessed fluted designs and beautiful circular bobeches with a floral design and beaded band below the berried laurel reeded candle cups. Above are the original green tole shades which are adjustable in height and secured by a beautiful ormolu screw with a charming heart design and a unique top tassel like finial.
