Pair of French Mid-19th Century Louis XVI Style Four-Arm Girandole Lamps
About the Item
A magnificent pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Baccarat crystal four arm girandole lamps. Each girandole is raised by an elegant circular mottled base with a mottled border and a Fine wrap around beaded band. The elegantly tapered central supports display Fine fluted designs and lead up to the scrolled arms. Each arm is adorned with stunning arrays of kite and tear drop shaped cut Baccarat crystal pendants, and large acanthus leaves leading to fluted and foliate candle cups. The central supports above are encased within exceptional and most impressive spiral fluted crystal cases leading up to the graceful top sprays with additional beautiful crystals and foliate movements. All original gilt throughout.
