About the Item
Pair of table lamps "GHIANDE ALGA" by Roberto Giulio Rida
The lamps belong to the "Acorns" Collection of Artist and Designer Roberto Giulio Rida. Each pair executed, like all of Rida's works, in ONE copy and therefore not reproducible.
"GHIANDE Alga" table lamps are a pair of lamps equipped with a hand-made brass conical body, and patinated to protect against dust and weather.
Individually attached to the conical brass body are sticks, also made of brass, and decorated with fusion glass nuggets with unique and special inclusions of 1930s vintage manufacture.
The nuggets were made from large blocks of fused glass and specially chosen with internal marbling designed to symbolize seaweed, hence the name " ALGA JAYS."
The nuggets were then handcrafted by skilled hands and then hand-polished and applied to the lamps.
The lamps are signed R.G.RIDA with logo buttons on the structure metallic.
