Pair of Italian 18th Century Louis XVI Period Carved Mecca Lamps
About the Item
A striking pair of Italian 18th century Louis XVI period Mecca and faux painted marble lamps. Each lamp is raised by a square wonderfully executed faux painted marble base with a Fine mottled Mecca band. The most decorative Mecca urn shaped bodies display lovely foliate carvings with cherub medallions and elegant scrolled movements below pierced scrolled handles and top foliate flame like finials. All original finish throughout.
