Pair of Japanese Hand Painted Porcelain Lamps in White, Grey, and Pink, C. 1970s
About the Item
Pair of Mid-Century Modern Japanese porcelain lamps with white crackle glaze finish. Lamps have elegant urn forms with hand painted leaves in alternating hues of pink and grey, and outlined in 22-karat gold leaf. The hand-applied gold is used again in a series of scrolls along the bottom portion of the lamps. Mounted on Asian Style carved wood bases with a dark brown finish and matching perfectly with the dark stained metal stems. Lamps feature brass fittings and accents and have been newly rewired with brass dimmer switches. Shown with custom linen drum shades in pale grey. Lamp is 19" H up to the socket, and 28" H with lampshades.
