This wonderfully sensual pair of black lacquer lamps is attributed to Heifetz, who achieved widespread recognition as the winner of a MoMA-sponsored lighting design competition in the early 1950s. The Connecticut company was founded by renown modernist sculptor Yasha Heifetz, and remained in production for a relatively short period, increasing the prized rarity of its handsome creations.
