About

Charming petite lamp with rich textural elements and beehive like form by Jean Besnard (1889-1958). The "crispé" glaze is a signture aspect of the French ceramist's work. A brown matte glaze is partially visible underneath the waxily sheened cream overglaze, creating a vibrant feel when the piece is lit. Painted mark "JB" and "FRANCE" on underside. (6.5" H x 4.5" D; 13.5" h w/shade)
